In January 2026, the first edition of Mind over Mountain took place: a seven-day winter retreat near Alpe d'Huez that combined skiing and snowboarding with an evening workshop programme on mental health — led by a medical doctor and a psychologist. A small group, a chalet, a private chef, and three evenings devoted to the nervous system, stress, and self-care.

It started as an experiment: what happens when you take people out of their routine, bring them to the mountains, and don't preach self-care but practise it with them for a week?

The first 2026 edition answered that. A mixed group arrived as strangers and left as what several guests independently called "deep friendship within three days." Snow by day, workshops on the nervous system, trigger work, and the PERMA model of positive psychology by night. In between: a private chef, a sauna, and two hosts who cared for the group like family.
